Internships aren't the only way to help The Nature Conservancy in Indiana. Come to any of our stewardship workdays and get your hands dirty while preserving some of the most beautiful places in Indiana.

 

The Indiana Chapter's Indianapolis office is offering internship opportunities in the Philanthropy department. If you're interested in gaining valuable fundraising experience, please check out the internship descriptions below.

Philanthropy Internships

All Philanthropy internships are unpaid and vary between 12-15 weeks. Each position is designed to provide interns with valuable work experience and guidance in donor relations and fundraising in exchange for structured volunteer work. In turn, the Conservancy can provide a letter of recommendation or fulfill reference requests upon successful completion of the internship.

Currently there are three Philanthropy internships available. A brief summary, plus a detailed job description including whom to contact if interested, is provided below .

  • Have an interest in faith-based organizations and conservation? This Philanthropy Internship position may be for you. The intern will focus on assisting fundraising staff with developing a program to work with faith-based organizations that have an interest in conservation.
     
  • The Young Professionals Philanthropy Intern will be responsible in creating a program to identify and cultivate young professional donors who have an interest in conservation.
     
  • The Philanthropy Administration Intern will assist fundraising staff through general administrative tasks such as converting paper files to electronic files, coordinate member mailings, assist with special events, research and preparing reports to donors, trustees and members.
