Volunteers planting trees during one of our stewardship workdays. |
The Nature Conservancy was built on the dedication of our members and volunteers. Today we still rely on the support of those who are interested in helping the environment and working with others who share their passion for nature. By contributing your time and skills, you will be making a huge difference on the natural communities we've vowed to protect and preserve.
While many of our stewardship workdays take place on any given Saturday around the state, there are a few ongoing volunteer opportunities in the Blue River area and the Kankakee Sands Project office.
Bonnie Wolf, the Blue River Project Office's land steward, offers Thursday stewardship opportunities in throughout the year. Contact Bonnie to learn more about where and when these workdays take place.
The Kankakee Sands Restoration Project in Newton County could use your help! From driving tractors to transplanting plants in their greenhouse, there are a number of volunteer opportunities at this amazing prairie restoration and preserve that will put your much-needed skills to great use.
The Indiana Field Office in Indianapolis is also looking for an office volunteer to nswer phones, sign for packages and more.
