Volunteer Opportunities
Experienced volunteer stewards hold dozens of workdays, wildflower walks, and other nature related activities throughout the year. Most new volunteers simply show up and pitch in - no experience is required. Typical workday activities might include: cutting and pulling of invasive brush and weeds, collecting and sowing the seeds of native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs, and trees; teaming up with scientists to monitor recovery of native habitats, or to record data on rare species of wildflowers, butterflies, and other wildlife. For a listing of workdays and other activities, simply choose the county near you from the list and/or map below. These workdays are as up-to-date as possible, but we urge you to call to confirm dates, times and directions. Choose a workday that is close to home, or explore a new part of the region!
