Overview:
An exhibit of photographs, sketches, wood carvings and poetry inspired by the restoration of the Conservancy's Emiquon Preserve will be at the neighboring Dickson Mounds Museum.

Forty-five people from varied backgrounds produced the artwork as part of a unique effort envisioned by Dr. Michael Jeffords and Susan Post, biologists at the Illinois Natural History Survey, to document a changing landscape.

Called the Emiquon Corps of Discovery in honor of the name given to Lewis and Clark's expedition, the citizens attended skill-building workshops in nature photography, drawing and creative writing. They then traveled to scenic points and pathways at Emiquon last winter and in the spring to produce photos and artistic impressions of the preserve.

Registration/Fee:
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
