10am - 5pm

Nachusa Grasslands

At “Autumn on the Prairie,” you can tap your toes to live music, as you enjoy work from local artists or take part in an activity in the children’s tent. Learn more about this precious landscape: Hop on a horse-drawn wagon, take a self-guided plant tour or explore exhibits.

This annual event allows visitors to get a glimpse of a fall prairie. Tour Nachusa’s prairies and savannas to delight in its wildflowers and wildlife.

This free event is open to the public, though donations are appreciated. Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase. There is no rain date.
