Illinois 2007 Annual Report

TNC-Illinois 2007 Annual Report

Throughout the pages of the Illinois 2007 Annual Report [2.38MB PDF], we celebrate the natural wonders that form our state. Just as importantly, we celebrate the people who lead our conservation and fundraising efforts, and the volunteers. Driven by their knowledge and enthusiasm, The Nature Conservancy in Illinois is protecting and preserving some of our state’s most important and beautiful natural wonders.

Organization of the Year

The Nature Conservancy in Illinois was named the Organization of the Year at the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame Banquet held February 9 in Springfield. Sponsored by the Illinois Conservation Foundation, the ceremony honored the Conservancy for extraordinary contributions to natural resource preservation in 2007 when the Conservancy celebrated 50 years of work in Illinois. In its history, the Conservancy has protected over 80,000 acres across the state and remained a guiding force behind a gathering wave of conservation initiatives reaching across Illinois and beyond.

Look Who's Helping

The work of the Conservancy in Illinois is made possible in part by the generous support of corporations and foundations.

During 2007 Special thanks go to Northern Trust, lead benefactor for the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
