All along the coast of Maine, fishermen, conservation groups and community members are coming together to discuss ways to help the Gulf of Maine’s fisheries rebound. This eight-minute video features the perspectives of fishermen, scientists and conservationists. Through interviews and stunning footage, the film explores Maine’s fishing history, the current state of depleted fish stocks, and innovative ways to restore balance to the ecosystem — for the benefit of nature as well as coastal economies.

Massachusetts’ famous Wellfleet Oysters are getting a boost from a restoration project on Cape Cod. The Conservancy, NOAA and Mass Audubon hope to bolster wild Eastern oysters and restore habitats that defend the shoreline against sea level rise.
