Places We Protect Header

The Nature Conservancy has protected some of Georgia’s most beautiful and imperiled natural areas. From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean, we have worked to protect more than 275,000 acres of swamps, rivers, forests, dunes, and other vibrant ecosystems. Selected for their diversity, The Nature Conservancy works to safeguard places that are havens for many of Georgia’s natural treasures like majestic old-growth forests, rare lilies, and animals found nowhere else in the world. Follow the links below to take a virtual tour of some of the state’s most breathtaking and threatened areas, protected through a wide range of partnerships and with your support.
