Corporate Council for the Environment
The Conservancy's work is supported by a broad base of generous individuals, corporations, and foundations concerned about the loss of our state's — and our Earth's — important natural habitats and the escalating rate of extinction.
To date, the Georgia program has preserved more than 272,000 acres harboring such rare species as the endangered wood stork, loggerhead sea turtle and Georgia plume. From the Altamaha and Chattahoochee rivers, to the sandstone outcrops of Broxton Rocks in southeast Georgia, to over 21,000 acres in the Chickasawhatchee Swamp, The Nature Conservancy protects an extraordinary range of natural habitats.
More and more companies are recognizing that conservation is key to healthy communities, sustainable growth and their bottom line. Members of the Corporate Council for the Environment provide essential support for The Nature Conservancy and receive the following annual benefits:
- Company recognition in an ad in the business section of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
2007 recognition ad in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
- A listing in the Georgia program's newsletter, which reaches more than 20,000 Georgia households
- Company listing on the Conservancy in Georgia's Web site
- Invitations to special events and field trips throughout the year
- Invitation to and recognition at the Conservancy's annual corporate breakfast
