2005 Field Trips, Education & Outreach Events
Laramie Foothills and Phantom Canyon Preserve

The field season for Phantom Canyon Preserve and the Laramie Foothills project is upon us.  This year The Nature Conservancy and its partners will be offering a variety of education and outreach opportunities, including:

  • guided natural history field trips
  • overnight education workshops
  • guided hikes for organized community groups
  • stewardship days
  • public fishing days
  • celebrations to welcome and thank our volunteers and project partners
  • education programs in conjunction with the North Fork Weed Coop (NFWC) and the Poudre River Ecology Partnership (PREP)

Registration information

  • Guided field trips, overnight workshops, organized guided group hikes and volunteer/partner celebrations: To sign up, call the Phantom Canyon Preserve office at (970) 416-8620 extension 2# or e-mail us phantomcanyonevents@tnc.org. Please leave your name, address/phone/e-mail, number of participants and trip name. 

  • Public fishing program: To sign up for the public fishing program e-mail Ken Eis from Trout Unlimited at eis@cira.colostate.edu. Please use “phantom canyon fishing” as the subject line, and include your name, address and phone number in the e-mail message body.

  • PREP field days and volunteer field trip leader/assistant training days: Please call Heather Knight at (970) 416-8620, extension 1#.

  • NFWC events: Please call the NFWC office at (970) 416-8620 extension 3#.
