The Nature Conservancy and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science invite you to discover the story of Mongolia’s landscape today and in the deep past.

Featured Speakers:
Chris Pague, Director of Conservation Science for The Nature Conservancy in Colorado
Drawing on experiences garnered from six trips to study Mongolia’s sweeping landscapes, ranging from
the ecologically rich grasslands of the Asian steppe to the edges of the harsh Gobi Desert, Chris will share his observations and conservation strategies for protecting these treasures.

Kirk Johnson, PhD, Chief Curator and Vice President, Research and Collections Division, DMNS
With a background in geology and paleobotany, Kirk will depict what might have been found in the Mongolia landscape both in the 13th century and 75 million years ago. Find out why Genghis Khan would have felt at home in Colorado.
