Stargazing at Phantom:  An Overnight Workshop

Depart Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 10 a.m.

Overview:
Enjoy an overnight star gazing experience at Phantom! The trip begins with a late-afternoon stroll with naturalists down into the canyon. Then, relax on the cabin porch as the sun sinks below the rim.  Our guest speaker will provide an introductory slide show before we peek through his telescopes and fall asleep star-gazing from the visitor center deck.

Bring a potluck salad or hot dish to share with our BBQ dinner. We will provide a continental breakfast. Come prepared with hiking gear, sleeping pad, pillow and sleeping bag.
