Give the Gift of Nature
Shape the work we do to advance conservation in Arizona and beyond. Give Back to Nature.
What Matters Most to Arizonans?
* Supporting our vibrant economy.
* Sustaing our unique environment.
* Enhancing the quality of life in our
communities.
At this critical juncture, we are presented with specific conservation opportunities that could disappear if we postpone action. Therefore, with your support, The Nature Conservancy can address these priorities:
A Secure Water Future
To develop solutions to ensure a future water supply, The Nature Conservancy is working in cooperation with a broad group of interested parties along our most fragile river systems—the Verde and San Pedro, as well as the Salt and the Gila—and throughout the Colorado River Basin.
Health of Our Land
Arizona’s natural interplay of forests and grasslands—our native prairies—must be in balance in order to thrive. The future of the state’s water supply, native species such as the fleet-footed pronghorn and rural lifestyles are at risk. The Nature Conservancy is acting in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, local communities and others to create and carry out a plan of historic significance which uses tax credits to revitalize our forests and adjacent grasslands. The plan draws on sound science and economic incentives to invest in sustainable thinning of trees and shrubs in a way that helps restore nature’s balance.

The Nature of Business
The Corporate Council for the Environment is a forum for businesses and business leaders who have an interest in wildlife, land and water conservation to promote quality of life and economic growth. Contributions from Council members are used to support on-the-ground conservation efforts in Arizona.
Take Stock of Your Investments
It may be financially beneficial to make your year-end gift using appreciated stocks or mutual funds. By donating securities and allowing The Nature Conservancy to sell them, you avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation, and you are entitled to a charitable tax deduction for the full value of the stock!
Consider a Life-Income Gift
A life-income gift enables you to not only make a lasting gift to the Conservancy but to receive income and take advantage of favorable tax laws, as well. Life-income gift options include charitable gift annuities, which provide the security of fixed payments; charitable remainder trusts, which can provide income for retirement; and the Growth and Income Fund, which provides income intended to grow over the long term.
Give the Gift of Time
When you volunteer for The Nature Conservancy in Arizona, you are not only helping plant trees, remove invasives and maintain trails—you are making the world a better place for now and for future generations. Now that is something to feel good about.
