Nature Walks

Calendar of Nature Events
Wildlife is the number-one attraction at Arizona's six nature preserves open to the public. Visitors from all over the world come to see hundreds of species.

Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve
Easy Nature Walk
Every Saturday, 9 a.m.
These walks last between one to two hours. Reservations are not needed.

Hassayampa River Preserve
Guided hike, October through April, one-hour occurs on the last Saturday of every month beginning at 8:30 a.m. Reservations appreciated: 928-684-2772.

Hart Prairie Preserve

These ninety-minute walks offer the opportunity to learn more about birds, wildflowers, forest ecology, and The Nature Conservancy’s work across the region. To join the walks, meet at the Fort Valley Plaza Shopping Center, 1000 N. Humphreys Street at the southwest corner by the guardrail, each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The following items are essential to the walks: sturdy shoes, sun protection, rain gear or jacket, and water. Ramsey Canyon Preserve 
Preserve walk from March through October
Every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 9 a.m.
Reservations are not needed.
