This island preserve supports marsh rabbits, salt marsh water snakes and diamondback terrapins. It is also a potentially important site for migrating shorebirds.

This site was donated to The Nature Conservany and represents a unique example of a coastal marsh island.

What the Conservancy is Doing
Our strategies for this preserve include very little staff interaction. Our goal is to provide protection for the migrating shore birds and provide them safe nesting sites.
