To help Costa Rica reach its goals, The Nature Conservancy, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Linden Trust for Conservation are partnering with the government of Costa Rica to ensure not only the creation of protected areas, but also the permanent financing for management of those areas.
In every great endeavor, there are moments when the timely actions of a few committed people can profoundly change the world. We believe Forever Costa Rica offers such an opportunity.
By creating a model of sustainability for parks and protected areas in Costa Rica, we can help one forward-thinking country light the way for others to follow.
The timely commitment of private funds will be the difference between success and failure in Costa Rica. And just as success will have profound effects far beyond the borders of one small Central American country, so will failure.
We need your help to show the world that parks and protected areas can be effective, valuable and permanent.
