Louise Goggin describes the beginning of her voyage in the Solomon Islands.

Thursday 20 May 2004 Arnavon Islands, Solomon Islands 
Grey skies with enormous raindrops splattering on the back deck.  The palm-fringes islands squat so low they are almost swallowed by the sea.

Thursday 3 June 2004 From Russell Islands to Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands 
Steaming toward the grey clouds hugging the horizon as the blue islands disappear behind us into the lumpy grey sea.
