Since 1951, The Nature Conservancy has accomplished the large, complex job of conservation around the world...

  • by protecting more than 116 million acres of the most ecologically-important places in all 50 United States and more than 30 countries;
  • by using an innovative approach to conservation that is firmly based on the best available science;
  • by working collaboratively with communities, businesses, government agencies, other non-profits, and people like you; and
  • by preserving plants, animals and natural communities by protecting the land and waters they need to survive.

The Nature Conservancy works in partnership to achieve tangible, lasting conservation at a level that will make a global difference. Drawing on lessons learned over half a century of successful conservation work, we continue to refine our approach and accomplish even more with only limited resources.
