Columbus called this country the "Land of Grace" because of its lush vegetation and powerful rivers.

Five centuries after Columbus, Venezuela continues to marvel both inhabitants and visitors alike. In just 353,689 square miles, the country comprises several landscapes and seascapes: islands and marine habitats, jungles, grasslands, wetlands and mountains.

The Nature Conservancy has beem working with partners to preserve Venezuela's remarkable natural treasures for over 20 yrs.
