State Director
Andrea Erickson Quiroz is the state director for The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming, where she leads the planning and management of conservation operations. Her areas of specialty include community-based planning and program development, government relations, and institutional development. Prior to joining the Conservancy’s program in Wyoming, Erickson Quiroz spent 10 years in Latin America, both as a University of Michigan Population and Environment Fellow in the Galapagos Islands, and as the Conservancy’s southern Mexico program director. In Mexico, she developed community conservation programs and public and private partnerships with Mexican institutions, contributing to the protection and management of more than four million acres of land and water. Erickson Quiroz completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and has a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in Environment and Development Policy.
