Three donors who love Wisconsin’s Northwoods want to encourage others to join them in protecting this special part of our state. They’ve created the Ripples Matching Fund and will provide a 50 percent match to all gifts of $1,000 or more for conservation in northern Wisconsin.
We set a goal to raise $3 million by the end of 2013 for Wild Rivers Legacy Forest and other exciting conservation projects in northern Wisconsin, and we’re almost there—about $650,000 left to raise—thanks to Nature Conservancy supporters like Scott Souder and his mother Susanna, who are taking advantage of the match to protect the places they love.
“As a young man, I camped every year at Red Arrow Camp and went down almost every conceivable river in northern Wisconsin,” Souder said. “Those trips brought a sense of belonging with the Earth and nature and its unspoiled beauty, and I want to keep it that way. “
