• Emily Campos is from New York City and in the National Honor Society. Her parents, who are from Ecuador, took her and her siblings camping when they were young. Emily loves math, photography and soccer. © TNC
  • Catherine Cesar is from West Allis, Wisconsin. She loves to water ski, fish and camp. She plans to study zoology in the future. This summer, she hopes to learn about different species and what she can do in her own community to preserve nature. © TNC
  • Kelly Duggan is from New Berlin, Wisconsin. She loves softball, which she has played since she was five. Kelly hopes her summer internship will give her insight into what a potential career in environmental science would be like. © TNC
  • Rebecca Gonzalez was born and raised in Manhattan. She is used to working outside after interning at the Forest Project Summer Collective at Wave Hill in the Bronx. She is considering studying environmental science and creative writing in college. © TNC
  • Spencer Jastrow lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He plays violin and saxophone and enjoys canoeing and camping. Spencer plans to pursue a degree in political science and environmental studies at UW-Madison. © TNC
  • Jo Hyun “Joan” Kim was born in South Korea but lives in New York City. She enjoys playing traditional Korean instruments and has performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Joan is looking forward to her experience working on a large conservation effort with fellow high school students. © TNC
  • Lucinda Li was born to Chinese parents and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She enjoys taking long walks and listening to music. She wants to learn more about the beauty of nature and environmental conservation this summer. © TNC
  • Ellen Tyler is from Genesee Depot, Wisconsin. After graduation, she plans to spend a year in the Americorps program and then earn a degree in international relations. This summer she hopes to meet other people who care about nature and learn more about how to improve natural areas. © TNC
