50th Anniversary: Call for Photos

Rob Wiener captured first place with this photo of Lake Superior near Cornucopia, Wisconsin.

To celebrate The Nature Conservancy's 50th anniversary in Wisconsin, we asked you to send us your inspiring, spectacular, fun photographs showcasing the beauty and diversity of the Badger State. And you did!

We received more than 200 great photos of the lands, waters, plants and animals that make Wisconsin a truly special place to live.

Congrats to Steve S. Meyer and Rob Wiener for taking our top two favorites, which were featured in Wisconsin's Fall 2010 newsletter for Nature Conservancy members. See their photos, along with 10 more favorites, in this slideshow, and hear their stories about what it took to capture these remarkable images.
