Welcome West Virginia Volunteers!  

Work alongside Nature Conservancy staff to accomplish key outdoor, outreach and office work. Volunteers help save money and thus increase the efficiency of our conservation work.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • Ice Mountain Docent Training, June 2 - Every two years we hold docent training at the Ice Mountain Nature Preserve to train new docents interested in leading public hikes to this magnificent location.  Find out how to get trained. 
  • Burn Crew - We need help conducting prescribed fires.  Find out how to get trained and get going with this important habitat maintenance work. 
  • Preserve Monitor - We are looking for high-quality volunteers to help monitor preserves throughout the state.
