Treat the Planet to Lunch with Picnic for the Planet

The Nature Conservancy Celebrates Earth Day at Seattle Center April 22

The Earth is an amazing planet, and we’re taking it out for lunch! The Nature Conservancy is celebrating Earth Day by hosting the second annual Picnic for the Planet and connecting people around the world through the food they love.

In Seattle, The Nature Conservancy is hosting a Picnic for the Planet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at Seattle Center. The Earth Day celebration is part of the Next 50 Earth Day Environmental Fair and kickoff for Sustainable Futures month, the first of six monthly focuses recognizing the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair.

The Nature Conservancy will host music by The Local Strangers, a “soulful Americana” band, and Kore Ionz, a Seattle-based reggae band.

Bring your own picnic, or plan to buy one from great local food trucks.
