Event Assistance: Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Youth Event

October 19, 2014
Noon - 4:00 p.m.

Brownsville Farm, Nassawadox, VA

Directions

The Nature Conservancy will be hosting this Greenwing youth event at our historic Brownsville Farm on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Volunteers are needed to staff a booth for a hands-on kids activity that includes a replica of a beach scene and will focus on a game for guessing which beach nesting bird species belong to which nests. Volunteers will pass out Conservancy materials, greet the public, walk visitors through the hands-on activities, and answer questions as best they can.

Materials and training will be provided as needed. Sign up for one of these shifts:

  • Sunday, Oct. 19: noon-2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 19: 2-4 p.m.

To sign up for a volunteer shift, call or email Jen Dalke, volunteer program manager, at jdalke@tnc.org or 434-951-0572 (w) or 540-335-1302 (c).

The Ducks Unlimited Greenwing program provides an opportunity for children 17 and younger to participate in the conservation, restoration, and management of wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl.
