Invasive Plant Removal

October 16, 2013
9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Williams Woods Natural Area
Charlotte, Vermont

Directions

Join fellow volunteers in removing invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle, plants whose presence threatens the health of this rare and beautiful forest. No experience is required, just an interest in working hard in a beautiful place.

Williams Woods is an excellent example of a now rare forest type in Vermont, where you will see moss-covered fallen trees, oak trees over 200 years old, and tree root systems which travel above ground, giving the forest a lush, rain forest feel.

To R.S.V.P. or express interest in volunteering on a regular basis, contact volunteervt@tnc.org or at 802-229-4425x111.
