Jeff Weigel first joined The Nature Conservancy in 1979 as a seasonal field biologist for the Minnesota chapter. In 1988 he joined the Texas chapter as Director of Stewardship, and in the ensuing years has held a number of key positions developing conservation projects, raising funds, and building conservation programs across Texas. In his current role he works on fund raising, board development and government relations. A native of Minnesota who grew up camping, fishing and hunting in the woods, wetlands and meadows of Wisconsin, Jeff has a B.A. in Biology from St.Cloud State University in Minnesota and an M.S. in Range Science from Texas Tech University. Jeff lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife, Mary Candee, and their children, Matthew, Robert and Katie.
