Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Place: Nashville Fairgrounds, Browns Creek
We’re looking for volunteers, ages 16 and up, to join us on Sat., April 5, 9:00 a.m. to help clean up Browns Creek. We are doing this cleanup in partnership with the Cumberland River Compact, and this cleanup will be one of several going on around the city. But this will be our Nature Conservancy cleanup site for the day.
We will provide trash bags and gloves. Wear long pants and other clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, close-toed shoes, hat & sun glasses, and sunscreen. Bring a water bottle. We’ll have a cooler of water you can refill from.
After the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to a celebration at Cumberland Park on the east bank of the Cumberland (near LP Field), starting at Noon. The after-party is hosted by the Cumberland River Compact and Native Magazine. Come enjoy live music, delicious food and good company. All Spring Cleaning volunteers will gain free VIP access to the event, and those 21 & over will receive a free beer from Little Harpeth Brewing Co.
To attend: contact Ruth Longstreth at The Nature Conservancy, firstname.lastname@example.org or 383-9909.
We will provide directions.
