2014 Tannersville Bog Walks: Great Opportunity for Kids!

April 15, 2014 - November 12, 2014

Tannersville Cranberry Bog Parking Lot on Cherry Lane Road in Tannersville, PA (Monroe County).

The Monroe County Environmental Education Center is proud to invite you to attend a guided, public walk into the unique Tannersville Cranberry Bog. Along the way, our Environmental Educators will explain the Bog’s formation, its interesting plant and animal life, and the role the local Preserve Committee and The Nature Conservancy play in its continued protection. Over 2 ½ hours, we will explore the floating boardwalk and the surrounding area of the bog.

What to bring/how to prepare: Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes or sneakers. Bring water. The walks take place rain or shine (raincoats are preferred instead of umbrellas). If you use bug spray, please apply before your arrival.

RSVP: Pre-registration is required and limited. Please call the Monroe County Environmental Education Center at (570) 629-3061.
