Doug Donahue, Director of Operations

Doug Donahue

Oregon Director of Operations
The Nature Conservancy

“It all started when I was just 6 or 7 years old. I remember regularly taking long walks in the forest with my Mom and Dad, asking my parents countless questions about the trees, plants and animals we observed along the way. Today I am very fortunate to be able to combine my personal passion for nature with my professional career in business administration. I am so proud to contribute to the effectiveness of our organization. We all have a unique and important role to play in protecting and conserving our lands and waters. How will you answer the call to conservation?”

Doug joined the Oregon team as the Director of Operations in January of 2009 and oversees finance, administration, personnel, facilities, information systems, office management and safety. Prior to joining the Conservancy, Doug worked for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the Cooperative Community Foundation and Inova Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Towson University and recently received his MBA from the University of Baltimore. Doug currently lives in Southeast Portland with his wife and two daughters.
