Oklahoma has preserves in a wide variety of habitats.

Oklahoma Preserves

Oklahoma's preserves include the 40,000 acre Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, which is the largest protected area of tallgrass prairie left in North America and the 17,000 acre J. T. Nickel Family Nature and Wildlife Preserve, which is the largest privately protected conservation area in the Ozarks.
