We're working with you to make a positive impact around the world in more than 35 countries, all 50 United States and your backyard. Support our work
STEP 1: Apply
To participate in volunteer projects and to receive email updates, please complete this volunteer application. The volunteer program will not share your information with other organizations.
STEP 2: Sign up for projects
View descriptions of available volunteer opportunities on the Preserve Stewardship Projects Page. To sign up for a given project, click the Register Via Email link below it and follow the instructions given. Click here when you are ready to view and sign up for projects.
STEP 3: Check your email
Check your email on the Thursday before the project. If your registration was successful, you will receive an email with a map and project details. If you do not receive an email, your registration was not successful. Please email the Volunteer Coordinator or call 614-717-2770 ext. 144 or contact the Crew Chief. (Crew Chief phone numbers)
STEP 4: Report your volunteer time
During the first week of each month an email will be sent to you requesting that you report your volunteer time online. If you do not receive an email, please report your time anyway. You may send an email to the Volunteer Coordinator or 614-717-2770 ext. 144 or mail your hours. Please include your name, address, phone number, date of volunteer service, task, time spent volunteering, round trip drive time (if applicable) and preserve name (if applicable). Please report your time even if you signed the sign-in form on the project day. This is an extremely important step in the volunteer process. It is important because:
• We want to acknowledge your hard work when you reach volunteering milestones
• Your volunteer time may count as “match” for grant funding
• You can provide us with concrete data to use in securing grant funding
• You can help us prove that we have community support for the work we do
