"What really interested us more than anything else was the fun of seeing all these beautiful places," says Bill, who visited the 30 locations with his wife, Suzy.

Congratulations Bill and Suzy Wilson!

30 Natural Treasures. 800 Ohioans. 3,000 Entries.
6 Winners. 1 New Honda Hybrid.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our "Natural Treasures of Ohio" sweepstakes.

Many of the self-portraits uploaded from the selected sites were nothing short of gleeful. Families, couples, and friends smiling for the camera, which often was held at arm's length by the photo’s subject.

Six winners were randomly selected from these photos to win the sweepstakes' prizes – one grand prize 2012 Honda Insight hybrid donated by the sweepstakes sponsor, Honda of America Mfg., Inc. and five second place prizes of $500 REI gift cards.

Congratulations to our winners:
Grand Prize: Bill & Suzy Wilson (Troy, OH)
Second place winners: Holly Beach (Columbus), Tamara Dieringer (Toledo), Elizabeth Hang (Parma Heights), Patrick Lipinski (Springboro), and Lauren Wertz (Columbus)

Rick Schostek, senior vice president of Honda of America Mfg., Inc. joins The Nature Conservancy in congratulating the sweepstakes winners and participants. "I am especially impressed with those of you who tasked yourselves to visit all 30 of the natural sites. It is very commendable of you to set such a great example for others, and to do so in the spirit of fun and family."

Josh Knights, executive director of The Nature Conservancy in Ohio, said the public's response to the sweepstakes was extraordinary. "We were unprepared for—and delighted by—participants' enthusiasm for the adventure of getting outside and enjoying these beautiful places," Knights said. "Our hope is that their enthusiasm translates into more support for these natural areas that enhance our quality of life."
