Legacy Club Trips

December 31, 2013

Easily accessible outings and field trips offered throughout the year

Directions

We offer at least two trips per year to our Legacy Club members - those who have kindly chosen to designate TNC in their estate plans. In 2013, we will:

  • meet with NC Botanical Garden staff in Chapel Hill to learn about propagation of native plants
  • go to Black Ankle Bog (near Asheboro) to see how fire has helped some of the Piedmont's only pitcher plants
  • go to Bat Cave Preserve (near Lake Lure) for a wildflower identification workshop with a botanist

Last year, we went to Lake Mattamuskeet in February to see the tundra swan/snow goose migration and to the Southern Appalachian Mountains in the fall to enjoy the beautiful leaf colors.

Trips are open to all Legacy Club members and are booked on a first come, first served basis.

For information on joining the Legacy Club, contact Carla Hudy at chudy@tnc.org or (919) 794-4378. Or visit our Ways of Giving page.
