Lobby day is a chance for you to visit your legislators face-to-face with the support of others in the conservation community. You can come during the day, just for the reception, or both!
Lobby day consists of a registration/informational session in the morning followed by time for legislative visits. (You are encouraged to make appointments with your legislators beforehand but this is not necessary.) We will provide you with information relative to timely land and water conservation issues, including talking points. There are many conservation experts available if you have questions about anything.
Registration takes place from 8-9 am; participants have the day open for meetings with legislators; the Lobby Day reception, consisting of drinks and hors'doeuvres, is from 5:30-7:30 at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
Lobby Day attracts members of local land trusts and people who are passionate about conservation from across North Carolina. Also, our reception is held in conjunction with members of the Sportsmen's Caucus and the N.C. Wildlife Federation.
Let us know you'll be coming - register for Lobby Day!
