Brief Biography

In 30 plus years, we have protected almost 700,000 acres of land in North Carolina. The staff of our chapter can be found working all across the state. Most are located at the chapter office in Durham. Seven regional offices also carry out the Conservancy's mission and work with local communities. They are:

  • Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve (Kill Devil Hills)
  • Roanoke River (Halifax)
  • Southeast Coastal Plain (Wilmington)
  • Sandhills (Southern Pines)
  • Charlotte (Huntersville)
  • Mountains (Asheville)
