The Hannacroix Creek has a ravine where you can see some magnificent old trees and many kinds of wildflowers.
Crossing several small streams and winding through a variety of woodland habitats, the 2.5 mile long orange-marked trail at Hannacroix Ravine Preserve has a few steep climbs. Note: Be sure to wear appropriate footgear, especially in the Spring or after a rainy period. Allow 90 minutes to complete the circuit.
This 415-acre preserve is located in New Scotland and Berne, within Albany County, NY.
- Take Route 443 (Delaware Avenue) to Clarksville.
- About a half mile beyond Clarksville, turn left on Cass Hill Road (just beyond the turn for County 312).
- Continue on Cass Road for 1.9 miles.
- Entrance and parking are located on the left.
