Work Days

Get your hands dirty with us during April, May or June!

For all work days, please bring water, work gloves, bug spray, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. For trail cleanups, bring clearing tools and pruners if you have them. To register for work days, contact Mary Ripka at or (315) 387-3600.

Thousand Acres Swamp: Spring cleanup and trail work.

April 27, 10:00 am, Tompkins County
Eldridge Wilderness: Celebrate Earth Day as we complete trail work before the grand opening of this beautiful preserve on May 11th.

May 16, 4:00 pm, Jefferson County
Chaumont Barrens: Trail cleanup.

May 18, 9:00 am, Jefferson County
El Dorado Beach Preserve and Bird Sanctuary: Rocky shoreline cleanup.

June 1, 9:00 am, Cattaraugus County
Deer Lick: Spring cleanup and trail work.
(Rain date: Saturday, June 15)

June 12, 9:00 am, Oneida County
Rome Sand Plains: Lupine planting to help restore populations of wild blue lupine.
