On a beautiful fall day at the end of September, over 30 volunteers showed up representing Truckee River Fly Fishers, Trout Unlimited, and Patagonia. The group took on the task of planting and hammering in posts for protective fencing…no easy task in some of the rocky soil. “I can’t believe how much got done,” was all that our Conservancy Land Steward could say as he surveyed the completed work. Well done everyone!

This year over a 100 community volunteers participated including 18 students from Truckee Meadows Community College who, on their own, put in over 300 hours of work. Thank you to everyone for your hard work and contribution toward the restoration of the Truckee River habitat.
