Clear Creek Trail Grand Opening

The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is holding a grand opening of the Clear Creek Trail
On Saturday, April 12, 10 to 11 a.m., CVTA and partners will brief guests about the Clear Creek project, collaborative efforts, trail construction and trail use. Informational displays and trail maps will be available and complimentary breakfast snacks will be provided. Following the briefing, guests are invited to explore the new trail on their own or join one of three guided hiking tours ranging from 5 to 14 miles round-trip. Equestrian and mountain bike riders are also welcome to come along. Participants on the hike may turn back whenever they want and should bring lunch and water.
Two organized tours specific to equestrians and mountain bikers are planned for Sunday, April 13 each starting again from the Jacks Valley Trailhead next to the school. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a 14-mile guided tour for equestrians to Knob point and back. Then from 3 to 6 p.m., there will be a 14-mile guided mountain bike tour to Knob Point and back.
