The Nature Conservancy Community Support Day Recipient at Whole Foods Market

Five percent of the day's revenues from Whole Foods were donated to The Nature Conservancy.

March 25, 2014

The Nature Conservancy participated in a Community Support Day held by Whole Foods Market® on Thursday, March 20th. Whole Foods Market, a natural and organic foods retailer, holds Community Support Days four times a year to benefit local nonprofits and educational institutions. Five percent of the day’s sales are donated to participating organizations.

This month’s Community Support Day, which took place two days before World Water Day, placed an emphasis on the Conservancy’s freshwater work. $9,545.70 was raised to support Conservancy initiatives in Missouri.

World Water Day promotes clean, sustainable water and aquatic habitats and focuses attention on critical water issues. Visit our freshwater page to learn more.

The Nature Conservancy works to conserve lands and waters for nature and people. Established over fifty years ago, the Conservancy has protected almost 150,000 acres in Missouri, from the forests and rivers of the Ozarks to the prairies of the Grand River Grasslands.   Find out more.
