Days are getting longer, spring is on the way and love is in the air. Valentine’s Day must be getting near!
This Valentine’s Day your child can celebrate the natural world by sharing a card with his or her whole class, including the teacher.
Just for the season – and for good reason – The Nature Conservancy and Nature Rocks have produced a set of Valentine’s Cards that appeal to kids’ wild side. For 2013, we've made the cards extra fun for your love-in-the-wild holiday!
This handy pdf is three pages: 10 cards for kids and one card for the teacher.
It’s as easy as 1 2 3!
1. Simply download and print
the pdf (single-sided).
2. Cut out each card.
3. Fold each card and trim.
That’s it! Then your child is ready to give the cards to classmates. Print another round if you need more.
Outside / Nature Activity
Aside from a Valentine’s greeting, each card has a fun activity to challenge each recipient to get outside and explore nature. A growing body of evidence shows that kids who spend time outdoors are happier, healthier and smarter than kids who don’t get out.
So celebrate Valentine’s Day, share it with children, get outside and have fun!
