Oxbow Preserve Audio Tour

The Oxbow Nature Preserve consists of over 150 acres of wetland and lowland wood swamp in the floodplain of a former oxbow of the
Little Patuxent River in western Anne Arundel County, Maryland.  In the early 1990s, the area was purchased by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources through the help of The Nature Conservancy.  More than 150 kinds of birds and almost as many plants have been identified in the preserve.
