Team Nature in DC, Maryland and Virginia is helping to make a meaningful difference for our planet, one step at a time.  Become a part of the green team!

Your efforts will help protect even more lands and waters for the benefit of people and nature. Here’s what a donation to Team Nature and The Nature Conservancy may help us accomplish:

  • Restore more baby oysters to reefs in the Chesapeake Bay, providing habitat for rockfish and crabs.
  • Buy longleaf pine seedlings to plant, helping restore one of America’s most diverse and endangered forest systems.
  • Conduct a prescribed burn at Warm Springs Mountain Preserve to help restore pine-oak forests.

October 28, 2012, Team Nature covered 26.2 miles in support of The Nature Conservancy in the Marine Corps Marathon.  The MCM race course passes by some of our most treasured national monuments and is within easy driving distance of the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia Coast Reserve and Central Appalachians -- all important natural habitats the Conservancy has helped to protect.  Thanks to you, over $10,000 was raised to support our work in these critical areas ... fantastic!
