New Director of Finance

We’d like to welcome our new Director of Finance, Emilee Wright, to the Louisiana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy!  Emmy comes to us from a small CPA firm in Baton Rouge where she worked for the past six years as a tax manager.  Prior to that she worked in public accounting in Charleston, South Carolina completing non-profit audits and tax returns.  When asked what it is about The Nature Conservancy that appeals to her she replied, “I wanted to work in a non-profit because of the meaningful work that affects not just the local community, but the whole state.  There is so much work that needs to be done in Louisiana, not just to protect land and water, but to preserve the heritage and way of life that arises from our natural environment.”  That being said, she’s a big fan of the music and ever-present festivals in South Louisiana.

Emmy has 2 Dachshunds, volunteers with the Junior League and Together Baton Rouge, and enjoys cooking and spending time with friends in their supper club.

Three favorites:

Ice cream – Blue Bell Banana Pudding

Beach along the Gulf Coast – Destin

Technological Guilty Pleasure – Kindle
