Flooding at Mollicy Farms

High water levels in the Ouachita River in Moorehouse Parish created flood conditions at Mollicy Farms in 2009 and 2011.

The 17-mile-long, 30-foot-high levee is breached during the 2009 flood event.

The levee break becomes more evident. Notice the difference in water color between chocolately, sediment rich water and darker, channel water.

An area recently replanted with bottomland hardwood species is flooded in 2009.

The TNC office is flooded in 2009.
