Brief Biography

Terry Cook has been Kentucky's State Director since 2008.  He has held several different positions throughout the Conservancy over the past 18 years including Regional Director of Science for the Eastern Conservation Region.

Terry’s conservation career spans local, regional and global scales and demonstrates interdisciplinary skills in science, policy, fundraising, and program management. Terry has actively supported the Conservancy’s international efforts in places like Palau, Pohnpei, Solomon Islands, Mexico, Central America, and Canada and Africa. Terry is currently the Vice-Chair of the Army Corps of Engineers national Environmental Advisory Board and is a member of the Kentucky Governor’s Biofuels and Biomass Task Force.

Terry's wife, Laura, also worked for the Conservancy for many years and now acts as Kentucky's volunteer coordinator.

Eco Tip

Terry and Laura take every opportunity to get their 5 year old twins out in nature.  Hiking and canoeing are their favorite pastimes.
