Iowa’s Water & Land Legacy Coalition supports fully funding the Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust in an amount equivalent in value to a 3/8ths of one percent sales tax increase. To accomplish this goal we need you to take a number of actions between now and February 26, 2013.

Attend the Iowa¹s Water and Land Legacy Conservation Day Rally in Des Moines
Meet at the auditorium of the Wallace Building, 502 East 9th street, Des Moines on February 26, 2013 starting at 8:00 a.m. to review talking points, listen to a few speakers, and get on the same page for talking to legislators. We will then be at the capitol all day meeting with legislators. Don't forget to wear a blue shirt to identify yourself with the clean water we all want!

Prior to attending the lobby day, the Coalition asks supporters to take the following actions:

Write a letter (or 10!)
We need to generate a number of personalized letters to legislative leadership, key committee members, and the Governor between now and February 26, 2013. Contact these legislators and let them know you will be at the capitol on February 26 (or set up a meeting prior to that date). Encourage them to support a sales tax increase and use the provided talking points to construct a personal message as to why you support fully funding the Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund.
