We're working with you to make a positive impact around the world in more than 30 countries, all 50 United States and your backyard. Support our work
We are the only state bordered by both of North America’s dominating rivers, the Missouri and the Mississippi. In between, before European settlement began, were the grasslands. Today both our rivers and our grasslands are in trouble or have all but vanished.
Protecting our prairies and freshwater sources as well as the plants, animals and the natural communities within them is what we and our 7,500 Iowa members do. We buy land, place conservation easements on private lands, restore land through prescription fire/invasive species removal and work with farmers to conserve our rivers.
Protect Two Birds with One Life-Income Gift
By making a life-income gift with The Nature Conservancy, you can donate cash, securities or real estate to conservation and receive a steady stream of income in return. It’s a gift that benefits nature and your future.
Always know how we’re working to protect nature near you.
